September 17th 2025 The future of Hamilton volleyball is looking bright as the Hamilton Community Schools 5th/6th grade Lady Marines are off to a perfect 7-0 start this season. In seven matches, the Lady Marines have dominated play, winning 14 of the 16 sets they’ve competed in. Their impressive run has featured straight-set victories over Prairie Heights, Lakeland, Garrett, Lakeland Christian, and Eastside, along with hard-fought three-set wins against Elkhart Christian and West Noble. With a balanced mix of determination, energy, and teamwork, Hamilton has shown both consistency and resilience on the court. The team is led by Head Coach Sherrie Suardini and Assistant Coach Renee Vaughn, who have emphasized fundamentals, hustle, and togetherness. Hamilton’s two squads, “White” and “Blue,” have provided depth and balance across the season. Blue Roster Maybel Schiek (#1, 5th), Taryn Haviland (#2, 5th), Hallie Payton (#3, 6th), Hazel Hardy (#4, 6th), Jaylynn Austin (#9, 6th), Annika DePriest (#10, 5th), Haven Wetzel (#11, 5th), Hannah Isley (#12, 6th), Olivia Whitford (#14, 5th), Emma Lowe (#15, 5th). The Lady Marines’ schedule doesn’t get any easier with upcoming matches against Lakewood Park (Sept. 18), Churubusco and Central Noble (Sept. 20), Angola (Sept. 25), and Fremont (Sept. 29), before closing out the year at the West Noble Invitational on Oct. 11. With momentum on their side and confidence growing each week, the Lady Marines are setting the tone for the future of Hamilton volleyball—one set, one match, and one win at a time.
