September 3rd 2025 The Hamilton Marines varsity volleyball team hit the road last night to take on the Lakewood Park Panthers. Despite a strong effort and continued fight, the Marines came up short, falling in three sets by scores of 10-25, 18-25, and 18-25. After a tough opening set, Hamilton regrouped and battled hard in the second and third sets, showing resilience and determination. Gianna Ceci and Tristen Creager each recorded 2 kills to spark the offense. On the defensive side, Marissa Mercer led the way with 13 digs, while both Akira Geeraedts and Creager posted 3 solo blocks at the net. Serving also played a key role, with Harlow Price and Lydia Hicks each tallying an ace. The Marines will be back on the court Saturday morning at the Southern Wells Invitational, where they will face Tri-Central at 9 a.m., Southern Wells at 10 a.m., and Randolph South at 11 a.m.
