Hamilton Boys Cross Country Competes at Baron Classic

August 30th 2025 The Hamilton Marines boys cross country team traveled to DeKalb High School this morning to compete in the annual Baron Classic, placing 8th overall out of 11 schools in a competitive field. Leading the way for Hamilton was Robert Schiek, who crossed the finish line in 29th place with a time of 18:48. He was closely followed by Lucas Taylor, who earned 34th place in 18:57. Copper Farnham (49th, 19:40) and Abbott Lingo (52nd, 19:52) also turned in strong performances to keep the Marines in the mix. Rounding out Hamilton’s varsity scoring were Larsen Dilts (59th, 20:16) and Marcus Sommers (60th, 20:16), who finished side-by-side, while Graysen Dilts added depth with his 75th-place finish in 24:20. With a solid team effort on a challenging course, the Marines continue to show steady improvement early in the season. The boys will now have some time off before their next competition on Monday, September 16th.
