August 27th 2025 The Hamilton Marines boys cross country team turned in a strong performance at Lakewood Park last night, finishing 2nd overall with 40 points in the 5K event. Host Lakewood Park claimed the top spot with 17 points, while Prairie Heights rounded out the top three with 83 points. A total of 33 runners competed. Leading the way for the Marines was Robert Schieck, who crossed the line in 5th place with a time of 19:24. Right behind him was Lucas Taylor, finishing 6th overall in 19:30. Copper Farnham and Abbott Lingo continued Hamilton’s pack running, placing 8th (20:12) and 9th (20:21) respectively. Larsen Dilts rounded out the scoring five with a 12th place finish in 20:51. Also competing for Hamilton was Graysen Dilts, who placed 24th with a time of 24:08. The Marines showed depth and teamwork to secure the runner-up spot in the meet, building momentum for the rest of the season. Next up, Hamilton will compete at the Baron Classic at DeKalb on Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
