June 12th 2025 Hamilton Marine student athletes are kicking off part their summer break by choosing to get into the weight room to prepare for next year's athletic seasons! 49 student athletes in grades 6th-12th came in this week for morning weights and conditioning which is a huge jump from previous years. Coach Justin McKnight, Coach Taylor Brown, and Coach Doyle Houser have led the charge by recruiting our athletes to understand the value of putting in time in the weight room during the offseason and it really has shown. Summer weights is broken into 3 different stations which include McKnight running the weight room station, Brown coaching agilities, and Houser leading the conditioning portion. A change in the Hamilton Athletics culture is one of the biggest goals we currently have at HCS and after having some glimpses of success this past year, having students choosing to spend their summer mornings getting better is a huge step in the right direction. It is greatly appreciated that we have students and coaches willing to step up and be part of this change! Summer weights and conditioning continues throughout the summer Monday through Thursday from 7:30am-9:00am for the next two weeks in June and then again for 3 weeks in July starting July 7th.
