April 23rd 2025 The Lady Marines (2-3) played host to former conference foe Garrett High School (8-2) on Wednesday evening in what seemed like the first great softball weather day of the season. Bella Rivera started things off in the pitcher's circle. A tough start for the Marines led to the Railroaders getting out to a 6-0 led after one inning. Garrett picked up another run in the top of the second to make it 0-7 in favor of the Railroaders. Garrett put up 2 runs in the top of the third and the Marines went scoreless in the bottom half bringing the score to 0-9 after three. Rivera had 3 strikeouts for the Marines. Marissa Mercer came in to pitch starting in the top of the fourth. Garrett scored 3 in the fourth inning and 3 more in the fifth to go up 0-15 which is where we finished. Taryn Kintz had a single in the fifth. Hamilton will be back on the field tomorrow as we travel over to Fremont for 5:30pm first pitch.
