Tuesday September 30th 2026 Hamilton Community Schools had a busy Monday and Tuesday of athletics, highlighted by a varsity volleyball sweep, an eighth-grade victory, and two wins for our fifth/sixth-grade teams! Varsity & JV Volleyball Hamilton traveled to Lakeland High School, where our varsity team faced Lakeland’s JV squad and our JV team took on its C-team. The varsity Marines earned a 3-0 sweep, winning 25-16, 25-18, and 25-15! Lydia Hicks led Hamilton with 4 aces, while Brenna Mercer added 2. Gianna Ceci recorded 7 digs and Baylee Bartrom had 4 digs. Gracie Myers contributed 6 kills, with Akira Geeraedts adding 4 kills. Hamilton’s JV team fell 0-2. 5th–8th Grade Soccer The Marines also traveled to Lakeland and finished in a 3-3 draw. Hamilton now turns its attention to the Hoosier Plains Conference Tournament, traveling to Elkhart Christian Academy on Thursday to face Bethany Christian Academy in the first round! 7th & 8th Grade Volleyball The eighth-grade Marines pulled out an exciting 2-1 victory over Fremont on Monday, winning 25-17, 24-25, and 15-13! On Tuesday, Hamilton fell to Edgerton 0-2 with scores of 19-25 and 21-25. The seventh-grade team battled through two close sets against Fremont on Monday, falling 0-2 with scores of 24-25 and 23-25. On Tuesday, the Marines fell to Edgerton 0-2, scoring 9-25 in both sets. Next up is the Hoosier Plains Conference Tournament on Saturday morning at Elkhart Christian Academy. Hamilton 8th grade takes on Bethany Christian Academy beginning at 9:00 a.m. 5th/6th Grade Volleyball Both Hamilton teams brought home wins from Fremont on Monday night! The A-team swept Fremont 2-0, winning both sets 25-12. The B-team also earned a 2-0 victory, taking its sets 25-23 and 25-21! The A-team returns to action Tuesday, October 6, at 5:30 p.m., hosting Oak Farm. Congratulations to our Marines on their victories, and good luck as conference tournament play begins! Go Marines!
