Friday September 11th 2026 Thursday was another busy night for Hamilton Athletics, highlighted by a season-best performance from the varsity girls golf team! The Lady Marines traveled to Brookwood Golf Club in Fort Wayne to compete against Bishop Luers and Churubusco. Hamilton came out on top, shooting a season-low team score of 194! Senior Bella Rivera earned medalist honors with a season-low round of 39. Rivera made par on holes 3, 5, 6, 7, and 8 before finishing her impressive round with a birdie on No. 9. Freshman Sloan Hurraw tied for second overall with a 45, making par on holes 2, 5, and 7 and also birdieing No. 9. Karly Nester added a 53 with pars on holes 3, 6, and 9, while Lilli Dager rounded out the team scoring with a 57. Great job, ladies! The varsity and junior varsity volleyball teams hosted the Eastside Blazers. Varsity fell 0–3 with set scores of 10–25, 10–25, and 13–25. Lydia Hicks recorded two aces, Gianna Ceci led the attack with seven kills, Baylee Bartrom collected 15 digs and one kill, and Annalise Lingo finished with 19 digs. The JV team fell 0–2. Both teams return to action tonight at home against Hoosier Plains Conference opponent Elkhart Christian Academy, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Hamilton’s seventh- and eighth-grade volleyball teams also competed at home Thursday, hosting West Noble. The eighth-grade team battled throughout the evening but fell 0–2 with scores of 19–25 and 20–25. The seventh-grade team also lost 0–2, with scores of 10–25 and 8–25. The fifth- and sixth-grade volleyball teams traveled to West Noble Middle School and returned home with a pair of victories! The A team won 2–0 with scores of 25–21 and 25–24, while the B team also earned a 2–0 victory with scores of 25–22 and 25–24. Hamilton’s fifth- through eighth-grade volleyball teams will return to the court Saturday at Lakeland Christian Academy, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Go Marines!
