Friday August 28th 2026 Thursday night was a busy and successful one for the Hamilton Lady Marines volleyball program, as teams from grades 5–12 competed against the Prairie Heights Panthers. The varsity Lady Marines traveled to Prairie Heights and earned a thrilling five-set victory over the Panthers’ junior varsity squad. Hamilton won the match 3–2 by scores of 25–21, 21–25, 14–25, 25–18, and 15–12. After falling behind two sets to one, the Lady Marines responded by winning the fourth set and then secured the victory in a tightly contested fifth set. Lydia Hicks recorded four aces, 17 digs, four kills, and 33 assists. Gianna Ceci contributed 11 digs and 13 kills, while Akira Geeraedts controlled the net with seven kills and 13 blocks. Annalise Lingo collected 28 digs, and Baylee Bartrom led the defensive effort with 30 digs. Harlow Price delivered an impressive all-around performance with two aces, 14 digs, five kills, and 35 assists. Gracie Myers added two aces, while Heidi Richter finished with three kills. Hamilton’s junior varsity team competed against the Prairie Heights C team and came up just short, falling 2–1. The Lady Marines won a hard-fought opening set before dropping the next two, with final scores of 28–26, 10–25, and 8–15. The seventh- and eighth-grade Lady Marines also traveled to Prairie Heights. The eighth-grade team earned a two-set victory, defeating the Panthers 25–14 and 25–23. The seventh-grade team battled through three sets but came up just short, falling by scores of 25–24, 9–25, and 15–17. Back at Hamilton, the fifth- and sixth-grade teams hosted Prairie Heights in the first home athletic event of the 2026–27 school year. The A team was defeated in two sets, while the B team earned a victory in two sets. Congratulations to the entire Lady Marines volleyball program on a great night of competition!
