Monday August 3rd 2026 The 2026 Hamilton Marines volleyball season officially got underway today as the team opened high school practice in preparation for another exciting fall season. This year's squad features 17 student-athletes, allowing Hamilton to field both a full varsity and junior varsity schedule. It marks the first time in several years that the Marines will compete with a complete JV schedule, an exciting milestone that reflects the continued growth of the volleyball program and provides valuable opportunities for player development. The Marines are led by Head Coach Amanda Gondell, who enters her third season at the helm of the program. She is joined by Assistant Coach Haleigh Bentley, as the coaching staff looks to build on the progress made over the past two seasons. With a strong group of returning and new athletes, the focus throughout preseason will be on developing team chemistry, improving fundamentals, and preparing for a competitive schedule. Hamilton will officially open the 2026 season on Saturday, August 22, as the Marines travel to Edon High School in Ohio. The junior varsity match begins at 10:00 a.m., with the varsity match immediately following. The Hamilton athletics department wishes Coach Gondell, Coach Bentley, and all of the Marines a successful season and looks forward to seeing the team represent the blue and white with pride throughout the fall. Go Marines!
