June 5th 2026 The Hamilton Marines boys golf team wrapped up their 2026 season on Friday by competing in the IHSAA Sectional at Noble Hawk Golf Links. Freshman Eli Ferrell led the way for the Marines with a team-best score of 96. Senior McCoy Elzey carded a 106 in his final high school round, while freshman Mason Moughler added a 112 and junior Hunter Ellinger finished with a 114 to round out Hamilton's scoring. Today's appearance marked an important milestone for the program, as this was the first full Hamilton boys golf team to compete in the IHSAA Sectional since 2021. It also marks the first time Hamilton golfers have participated in sectional competition since 2022. The season was filled with growth, development, and excitement as the Marines continued the process of rebuilding the program. The future looks bright with a young core of golfers gaining valuable postseason experience. Hamilton Community Schools would like to congratulate all of our golfers and Coach Hennessey on a successful season.
