June 3rd 2026 Hamilton Community Schools is proud to recognize several outstanding student-athletes who were honored by the Hoosier Plains Conference for their achievements during the 2026 spring sports season. These student-athletes have demonstrated tremendous dedication, leadership, sportsmanship, and commitment both on the field of play and in the classroom. Baseball All-Conference Honors The Hamilton Baseball program had four student-athletes recognized by the conference for their outstanding performances this season. First Team All-Conference Brendan Pfefferkorn (11th Grade) Lucas Taylor (9th Grade) Second Team All-Conference Cooper Leininger (9th Grade) Spencer Bredemeyer (11th Grade) These athletes played key roles in the success and growth of the Marines baseball program throughout the season. Boys Track & Field All-Conference All-Conference Robert Schiek (11th Grade) Robert continued his remarkable junior season by earning Hoosier Plains Conference recognition. Throughout the spring, he consistently represented Hamilton with determination and excellence, highlighted by his historic postseason run and qualification to the IHSAA Regional. Softball Conference Recognition Due to the Hoosier Plains Conference consisting of only two softball schools, the conference recognizes five nominees from each team rather than conducting an all-conference vote. Hamilton's softball nominees were: Marissa Mercer (12th Grade) Haley Ellert (12th Grade) Tsumiya Sato (12th Grade) Tristen Creager (12th Grade) Skye Allen (12th Grade) These seniors played a major role in leading the Lady Marines throughout the season and helped establish a strong foundation for the future of the program. Academic All-Conference Honors To earn Academic All-Conference recognition, student-athletes must be a junior or senior, be listed on their sectional roster, and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
