Marines Athletics Heads Into Busy Week of Sectionals and Spring Action

May 18th 2026 It is another exciting week for Hamilton Community Schools athletics as the Marines continue postseason track competition while baseball and softball close out the regular season schedule with several key matchups throughout the week. Monday, May 18 The varsity baseball team hits the road Monday evening as the Marines travel to Montpelier to take on Montpelier’s JV squad. First pitch is scheduled for 5:15pm as Hamilton looks to continue building momentum late in the season. Tuesday, May 19 Postseason track and field competition begins for the Lady Marines as the varsity girls team travels to East Noble High School for the IHSAA Girls Sectional. Field events and running preliminaries are set to begin at 5:00pm with Hamilton athletes looking to advance to regional competition. Wednesday, May 20 Wednesday features a full night of Marine action on the diamond. The varsity softball team hosts Bishop Luers High School in the final home game of the season for the Lady Marines. First pitch is set for 5:30pm at Hamilton. At the same time, varsity baseball heads to Angola High School for a matchup against the Hornets JV team beginning at 5:30pm. Thursday, May 21 The varsity boys track and field team takes center stage Thursday evening as the Marines compete at the IHSAA Boys Sectional hosted by East Noble High School beginning at 5:00pm. Hamilton softball also returns to action Thursday with a road trip to Fort Wayne to take on North Side High School at 5:30pm. Friday, May 22 The week wraps up Friday night as varsity baseball travels to West Noble High School for a 5:30pm matchup against the Chargers. Fans are encouraged to come out and support the Marines throughout another busy and exciting week of Hamilton athletics as several teams continue preparing for postseason competition.
