May 5th 2026 The Hamilton Marines were in action across multiple events Monday night, competing on the diamond, the course, and the track. Varsity Baseball The Marines hosted Prairie Heights’ JV squad and fell 15-4. Despite the result, Hamilton saw several strong individual performances at the plate. Cooper Leininger led the way, going 3-for-3 with a walk and a run scored. Liam Ferrell reached base consistently, finishing 1-for-2 with two walks and two runs. Brendan Pfefferkorn drove in two runs, going 1-for-3. Spencer Bredemeyer (2-for-4), Matthew Buffenn (2-for-3), and Lucas Taylor (2-for-3, RBI) all contributed multiple hits. Miles DeWitt added a double, while David Breard chipped in with a hit and a run scored. Leininger also got the start on the mound for the Marines. Varsity Boys Golf The boys golf team traveled to Cobblestone for a match and was led by McCoy Elzey and Eli Ferrell, who both carded rounds of 52. Mason Moughler followed with a 56, while Hunter Ellinger rounded out the scoring with a 62. Junior High Track & Field The 5th–8th grade track teams competed at Oak Farm as the Falcons unveiled their new sports complex. The Lady Marines turned in a strong performance, placing 3rd overall with 97 points. The boys team finished 4th with 23 points. Top Performers Included: Boys: Hawkins Richter placed 2nd in the 800 meters (2:37) and added two 3rd-place finishes in the 1600 meters (6:01) and 400 meters (1:10). Girls: Piper DePriest earned 2nd place finishes in both the 100m hurdles (19.08) and 200m hurdles (35.81). Mia Sawvel took 2nd in both the 100m (14.61) and 200m (31.52). The 4x100 relay team placed 2nd overall (59.08). Neelamae Baker secured 2nd in the 400 meters (1:16). Mia Weaver added a 2nd-place finish in discus (72-01).
