Marines Track Competes at Jimtown Classic

May 2nd 2026 The Hamilton Marines varsity boys and girls track teams competed at the Jimtown Coed Classic last night, turning in a strong all-around performance against a competitive field. On the boys side, the Marines were led by several first-place finishes and standout distance efforts. Ace Hill sprinted to a championship in the 400 meters with a time of 56.22 and also added a 3rd place finish in the 110 hurdles (18.96). In the distance events, Robert Schiek continued his dominant season, winning both the 1600 meters (4:52) and 3200 meters (10:45). The 800 meters was another highlight for Hamilton, as Jace Bean captured 1st place in 2:19, followed closely by Marcus Sommers in 2nd place at 2:21. Lucas Taylor added a 3rd place finish in the 3200 meters (11:13), continuing a strong night for the distance crew. In the hurdles and field events, Abbott Lingo placed 3rd in the 300 hurdles (48.19) and cleared 5-06 to earn 2nd place in the high jump. Copper Farnham took home a championship in the pole vault with a height of 9-00. Hamilton’s relay teams also contributed key points, highlighted by a 1st place finish in the 4x800 relay (9:08.35). The 4x100 relay (50.16) and 4x400 relay (4:05) both earned 3rd place finishes to round out a balanced team effort. On the girls side, the Marines saw solid individual performances across the board. Senior TeigAnn Freed sprinted to a 3rd place finish in the 100 meters (13.86). In the field events, Heidi Richter cleared 4-04 to take 3rd place in the high jump, while Annalise Lingo earned a strong 2nd place finish in the discus with a throw of 94-08. Overall, it was a competitive and successful night for the Hamilton Marines at the Jimtown Coed Classic, with both teams continuing to build momentum as they move deeper into the season.
