Jones singled in the third scoring two, doubled in the fourth scoring two, and singled in the sixth scoring two. Fairfield Varsity Falcons collected nine hits and Tippecanoe Valley Varsity Vikings had 15 in the high-scoring affair. Fairfield Varsity Falcons were the first to get on the board in the first when Jones grounded out, scoring one run. Tippecanoe Valley Varsity Vikings took the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Bussard homered to left field, and Costello singled, each scoring one run. Fairfield Varsity Falcons flipped the game on its head in the top of the fourth, scoring eight runs on four hits to take the lead, 12-7. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Jones that drove in two. Tippecanoe Valley Varsity Vikings scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth on a home run to left field by Caudill.
