Caouette hit a home run to center field in the sixth inning, doubled in the fifth inning, and singled in the first inning. Fairfield Varsity Falcons opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to two singles. Fairfield Varsity Falcons first got on the board when Jones singled, scoring one run. Fairfield Varsity Falcons added one run in the second. Eastside Varsity Blazers committed an error, making the score 4-2. Fairfield Varsity Falcons scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth on a home run to center field by Caouette. Jones earned the win for Fairfield Varsity Falcons. The hurler gave up five hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out six and walking three. Mayberry took the loss for Eastside Varsity Blazers. The righty went six innings, giving up 11 runs (six earned) on 11 hits, striking out three and walking two. Fairfield Varsity Falcons accumulated 11 hits in the game. Ross and Wilhelm each collected multiple hits for Fairfield Varsity Falcons. Vanover and Bishop each drove in one run for Eastside Varsity Blazers. McClain led Eastside Varsity Blazers with three hits in four at bats. Eastside Varsity Blazers turned one double play in the game.
