Fairfield Varsity Falcons rallied to top Lakeland Varsity Lakers 16-6 on Thursday at Fairfield Jr-Sr High School. Fairfield Varsity Falcons trailed by as many as four runs during the game. A single by Bateman put Lakeland Varsity Lakers on the board in the top of the first. An error, and a single by Drew helped Lakeland Varsity Lakers extend their early lead in the second. Fairfield Varsity Falcons flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring eight runs on six hits to take the lead, 8-4. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Caouette that drove in one. Fairfield Varsity Falcons scored seven runs on six hits in the bottom of the fifth inning. Park grounded out, scoring one run, Cripe singled, scoring one run, Spencer drew a walk, scoring one run, Jones singled, scoring one run, Yoder doubled, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs.
