Jones hit two home runs and drove in six as Fairfield Varsity Falcons defeated Angola Varsity Hornets 25-2 on Thursday at Angola High School. Jones homered in the first and third innings. Fairfield Varsity Falcons jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Jones homered to center field, scoring three runs, Copen doubled, scoring one run, and Wilhelm grounded out, scoring one run. Fairfield Varsity Falcons scored five runs on three hits in the top of the third inning. Cripe grounded out, scoring one run, Spencer drew a walk, scoring one run, and Jones homered to left field, scoring three runs. Fairfield Varsity Falcons scored 10 runs on nine hits in the top of the fourth inning. Copen scored after tagging up, Spencer singled, scoring two runs, Jones singled, scoring one run, Yoder singled, scoring one run, Copen singled, scoring two runs, Tinsley singled, scoring two runs, and Barton singled, scoring one run.
