Fairfield Girls Tennis Earns 4-1 Victory Over Northwood, Improves to 2-0 The Fairfield girls tennis team continued its strong start to the season on April 14, defeating Northwood 4-1 in NECC play to improve to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in conference action. The Falcons were dominant in singles competition, sweeping all three flights in convincing fashion. At No. 1 singles, Lacy Stoltzfus led the way with an impressive 6-1, 6-0 victory. Allie Stahly followed with a strong performance at No. 2 singles, winning 6-0, 6-4. At No. 3 singles, Maylin Maust battled through a competitive three-set match, earning a 6-1, 1-6, 6-4 win to complete the singles sweep. In doubles play, Fairfield split the two positions. The No. 2 doubles team of Vienna Griffith and Zuri Buckholz secured the fourth and deciding point for the Falcons with a 6-2, 6-3 win. At No. 1 doubles, Abby Graber and Breya Buckholz dropped a hard-fought three-set match, 6-1, 0-6, 5-7. Fairfield will look to carry this momentum forward as it continues NECC play.
