Although the leaderboard didn’t end in our favor, the Broncos Girls Golf team showed tremendous heart and resilience during a scorching Delaware County Tournament on Saturday. We matched up against some of the toughest opponents in the area and demonstrated we belong in the same field, placing fourth overall, just off the podium. Audry Capes led the way for the Broncos, just missing honorable mention honors shooting a 109 with phenomenal short game control. Senior Alyssa Richman was up and down carding a 112 in her fourth and final County tournament. Freshman Trinity Ellis turned in a 114, a benchmark for her first competition 18 hole round. Rounding out the scoring rounds for the Broncos was Miley Womack with a 117. Tinsley Lawrence shot 120, two under her season average thus far. The Broncos are next in action on Tuesday at home against Delta. Tee time is 4:30 at Crestview.
