Excitement Builds as Chesterton Girls Basketball Tips Off the 2025-26 Season There’s a special buzz in the air today at Chesterton High School — the first official day of girls basketball practice! The Trojans return to the court eager to build on the energy and hard work of the offseason as they prepare for another thrilling season of competition. The excitement ramps up quickly, with fans getting their first look at this year’s team during the Maroon vs. Gold Scrimmage on Thursday, October 30 at 6:00 PM in the CHS Main Gym. The Trojans will then travel to Concord High School for a scrimmage on November 1 before officially tipping off the season on November 6 at Highland. Chesterton’s home opener will be a special one — “Meet the Trojans Night” on Friday, November 14 against Munster. It’s always a highlight for the community as players are introduced and the season officially begins in front of the Trojan faithful. Fans won’t have to wait long for more action, as Chesterton hosts a strong stretch of home games including matchups with Kankakee Valley (Nov. 21), Penn (Nov. 22), and Lake Central (Nov. 26). As the season progresses, the Trojans will face a tough slate of DAC opponents and non-conference challenges that will prepare them for postseason play. The journey will culminate with the IHSAA Sectional Tournament, hosted this year at Valparaiso High School, beginning February 3. With talent, teamwork, and determination leading the way, this year’s Chesterton Girls Basketball team is ready to make their mark. Trojan fans — get ready to pack the gym, wear your maroon and gold, and cheer loud all season long. Let’s go, Trojans!
