CHESTERTON HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS VARSITY SOCCER CHS Girls beat Rival Valpo 3-0 Tuesday, September 2, 2025 5:00 PM Chesterton High School vs Valparaiso High School HOME AWAY 3 0 Game Recap Soccer Chesterton 3-0 Valparaiso Chesterton won their rivalry match with Valparaiso in convincing fashion 3-0 tonight. It was a complete performance where Chesterton led from nearly the start to finish. We came out the aggressors and the pressure paid off early. Eva Montes converted an Adey Avey cross in the 6th minute. In the 28th minute the lead was doubled when Adey Avey got loose, shot from the top of the box & scored. Halftime came with the Trojans up 2-0. The second half looked a lot like the first. Chesterton played from in front with a standout performance in midfield from Claire Vrahoretis. She was a boss in midfield not letting anything come through the middle. In the back, Seniors Salina Ford & Alice Fancher killed any attack Valpo had before it started. Their chances were limited to shots from distance & corner kicks. Then, while still in control of the match, Avey created a moment of brilliance. She collected the ball at midfield, nutmegged a defender, beat a 2nd defender then hit a lazer of a shot from 25 yards out. It was a great way to cap a great victory.
