🎾🏆 DAC CHAMPIONS AGAIN! 🏆🎾 For the 3rd time in 4 years and the 10th time overall, the Chesterton Trojans are outright Duneland Athletic Conference Champions! 💙💛 Huge conference victories over Valparaiso (4-1), Crown Point (4-1), and defending DAC Champion Lake Central (3-2) paved the way to another conference title for the Trojans. As Coach Tom Bour said: “Valpo took us to 3 sets in three positions earlier this season, Crown Point pushed us in doubles, and of course beating defending champs L.C. 3-2 at their place was the biggest moment for us up to this point. So it definitely wasn’t smooth sailing that’s for sure. But this team really came up big in big moments and everyone deserves so much credit and I couldn’t be prouder of them.” To officially claim the conference title outright, the Trojans finished the job Friday with a 4-1 victory over Michigan City, closing the regular season at an impressive 12-1 overall and a perfect 7-0 in DAC play! 🎾 Varsity Highlights: • Senior Kenzie Kania finished her final regular season in style with a 6-2, 6-2 win and now sits at 17-2 overall • Emma Dobson won her 9th straight match • Amelia Smith & Genevieve Driscoll improved to 9-2 together • Morgan Matthys & Lizzy Navarro moved to 9-1 as a doubles team 💪 JV Trojans also dominated Michigan City 4-0 and improved to 10-2 overall on the season!
