The Chesterton girls varsity basketball team lost a hard-fought game at Northridge High School on Saturday night by a score of 62-49. A fast start on offense pushed the Trojans out to a three point lead at halftime. Northridge built an 11 point lead in the fourth quarter but a three-pointer by Novea Brandon with just over two minutes left cut the Raiders lead to three. But the Trojans were unable to keep the momentum going and Northridge pulled away. The team was led in scoring by Lindsi McGuffey with 14 points. Novea Brandon added 8 points, while Addison Pack and Ella Boyanski each scored 8. The team will have their season-opener on Friday night against Munster.
