The Indiana Football Coaches Association has selected its 2024 all-state teams, recognizing six Cathedral players. Wide receiver Devaughn Slaughter, offensive lineman Eli Gigerich and safety Jack Lockhart were named to the IFCA Class 6A Senior All-State Team, while running back Xavier Dangerfield, place kicker Van Krisiloff, and linebacker Kyle Harden were chosen for the 6A Junior All-State Team. Slaughter caught at least one pass in every game this year and finished the season with 43 receptions for 562 yards and five touchdowns. Gigerich anchored an offensive line which cleared the way for a ground attack that averaged 180 rushing yards per outing and more than five yards per attempt. Lockhart led the Fighting Irish defense with 66 tackles. He also intercepted four passes and blocked four kicks. Dangerfield, just a sophomore, rushed for 1,087 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2024. Krisloff was perfect on 32 extra-point kicks and converted 10 of 13 field goals attempts including a career-long 46-yarder at Warren Central. Harden totaled 65 tackles and 6.5 sacks this year. He also recovered two fumbles, returning one 86 yards for a touchdown in the season-opener at Ben Davis.
