Friday, September 11, 7:00 p.m. Alumni Stadium Radio Broadcast: 6:30 p.m. Online at https://foxsports1260.iheart.com/ iHeart Radio App https://ww.iheart.com/live/fox-sports-1260-am-905/ Tonight's game is the 52nd time Cathedral and Chatard have played each other in football dating back to their first meeting in 1970. The Irish lead the series, 31-20, having won eight of the last ten games against the Trojans. This is the 38th consecutive season the schools have squared off following only three regular season games and two post-season meetings in the 1980s. The Fighting Irish won their first game of the season last Friday night, 30-21, at Cincinnati St. Xavier. It was only the second Irish victory against the Bombers at St. X in 12 tries, and the first since the year 2000. It ends a three-game stretch during which the Irish faced an opponent currently ranked in High School Football America’s Top 300 national poll. The Trojans are undefeated with wins over Lafayette Jeff, Leo, and Roncalli – all of which are ranked in the Top 10 of their respective classes by the Indiana Football Coaches Association. Chatard is averaging nearly 40 points per game, while allowing less than 10 points per contest. Reigning City Offensive Player of the Year Danny Adams has rushed for 447 yards and six touchdowns this season, while quarterback Harrison Odom has completed 70% of his passes for 567 yards and nine touchdowns. Cathedral defeated Bishop Chatard last season, 23-20, on Van Krisiloff’s 46-yard field goal with nine seconds remaining in the game.
