Cathedral Draws North Central To Begin Football Postseason

The Indiana High School Athletic Association has drawn the pairings for its 51st Annual Football State Tournament. Indianapolis Cathedral will compete in Class 6A for a fourth season under the IHSAA’s Success Factor. Cathedral previously played in 6A in the 2015, 2016 and 2022 postseasons, winning sectional titles each year and a regional championship last season. Cathedral will begin the 2023 tournament hosting North Central. The Irish defeated the Panthers, 49-6, in week five of the regular season. In the other Sectional 6 semifinal, Lawrence Central travels to Lawrence North. The Wildcats defeated the Bears, 41-26, on September 1st at Lucas Oil Stadium.
