The Fighting Irish baseball team defeated Heritage Christian 11-10 to win the 2026 City Championship! The Irish overcame an early deficit and, in the sixth inning, Tyler Carlos batted in a run to tie the game and scored the go-ahead run later in the inning. Carlos finished 2-for-4 with one RBI and one run scored. Connor Christiansen and Eli Sinsabaugh had two hits each. Michael Gallagher had an RBI triple. Sinsabaugh and Birdzell drove in two runs each. This is Cathedral's 31st city title. The Irish will begin postseason competition on May 28th at 5:00PM.
