The Whitko Athletic Booster Club held its 22nd Annual Golf Outing at Sycamore Golf Club in North Manchester on Saturday, Aug. 8. The annual event brought together supporters of Whitko Athletics for a day of golf, camaraderie, and fundraising. Participants enjoyed 18 holes of golf, a golf cart, and a catered meal. Following an introduction by Whitko Athletic Booster Club President Jenniffer Ebbinghouse, the outing began with a shotgun start at 12:30pm Throughout the day, players also had the opportunity to participate in additional contests hosted by Whitko student-athletes. A highlight of the annual outing is the presentation of the Wildcat Lifetime Achievement Award. Each year, the Whitko Athletic Booster Club recognizes an individual from the Whitko community who has demonstrated exceptional leadership, generously given their time, and often sacrificed time with their family to make a positive impact on Whitko students, athletics, the school, and the community. This year, Nathan Myers was honored as the 2026 Wildcat Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. Nathan was joined by his wife, Lynn, and their family during the recognition and shared remarks with those in attendance. Nathan expressed his gratitude, saying he was “humbled and honored” to receive the award. He recognized the many people who have been part of his journey at Whitko and shared his appreciation for the encouragement and friendships developed throughout his career. The competitive side of the outing ended with the foursome of Tanner Hughes, Noah Cokl, Cole Kessie, and Drew Fawcett taking home the title as the winning team. All proceeds from the golf outing benefit Whitko Athletics, helping support student-athletes and athletic programs throughout the high school.
