The Whitko Athletic Department welcomed guests to Senior Night Thursday, May 21 prior to the Varsity Softball game vs. Norwell. Whitko softball member Taylor Long from the class of 2026 was honored. Taylor is the daughter of Cali and Andrew Long. During her high school career, she participated in student council, golf, volleyball, and softball. Her future plans are to attend Purdue University to major in nursing and she is hopeful to become a CRNA with additional schooling. Head Coach Michele Garr shared, “We want to thank Taylor Long for being a part of our program for four years and the impact she has had on our community. We wish her nothing but the best in her next chapter.” Congratulations Taylor and thank you for your contribution to Whitko Athletics! GAME RECAP: Whitko softball loses to Norwell 11-1 on Senior Night. Addison Patrick led the team with two singles and Piper Krieg had a single. Lilly Irons got the start on the mound and Emma Gavin finished the game strong. The Lady Wildcats will start sectional play Monday 1:30pm at Adams Central.
