The Whitko Athletic Department welcomed guests to Senior Night Tuesday, May 12 prior to the home track meet vs. Southern Wells. Members of the Girls and Boys Track & Field Teams from the class of 2026 were honored. The student-athletes are pictured with family, friends, Girls Head Coach Thomas Weber, and Boys Head Coach Andrew McFarland. Congratulations to the following seniors and thank you for your contribution to Whitko Athletics and your impact at Whitko Community Schools: Kyara Gibson Kyara is the daughter of Jamie Woods. During her high school career, she participated in track and managed girls’ basketball. Her future plans are to attend Grace College to pursue special education. Kira Sordelet Kira is the daughter of Matt and Amanda Sordelet. During her high school career, she participated in track and Peacekeepers. Her future plans are to attend Purdue University for biomedical engineering and eventually attend dental school to become a dentist. Reese Stonebraker Reese is the daughter of Tiffany and Jay Stonebraker. During her high school career, she participated in basketball, HOSA, Sunshine Society, and track. Her future plans are to attend the University of Saint Francis to study diagnostic medical sonography. Drake Bird Drake is the son of Ashley and Keith Bird. During his high school career, he participated in football, wrestling, baseball, track, and HOSA. His future plans are to attend Indiana Tech to continue his athletic career and study exercise science to be a personal trainer. Kendal Bollinger Kendal is the son of Rick and Melissa Bollinger. During his high school career, he participated in cross country, track, archery, and wrestling. His future plans are to stay open to opportunities. Ryan Campbell Ryan is the son of Melinda Barnhart. During his high school career, he participated in football and track. His future plans are to work after high school. Kheir “Harry” Khamis Harry is joined by Susie and Cory Ness. During his high school career, he participated in track and always assisted in working athletic events. His future plans are to finish high school and go to college to study aviation. Lincoln Koser Lincoln is the son of Brian and Briana Koser. During his high school career, he participated in football, wrestling, and track. His future plans are to join the military and come home to farm. Landon Smith Landon is the son of Nicol and Jeffrey Lewis. During his high school career, he participated in football, wrestling, HOSA, baseball, Student Council, and track. His future plans are to attend Defiance College. Ethan Yates Ethan is the son of Liza and Ryan Yates. During his high school career, he participated in football, basketball, track, Student Council, and NHS. His future plans are to attend Purdue University to study business administration.
