Girls Tennis Recognizes Seniors

The Whitko Athletic Department welcomed guests to Senior Night Monday, May 11 prior to the Girls Tennis match vs. Manchester. Members of the Whitko girls tennis team from the class of 2026 were honored. The following seniors were recognized for their contributions to Whitko Athletics and their impact at Whitko Community Schools: Grace Burnworth Grace is the daughter of Stephanie and Cory Burnworth. During her high school career, she participated in golf and tennis. Her future plans are to attend Ivy Tech and later Purdue Fort Wayne for a major in special education to become a therapist for kids with autism. Lillian Coil Lillian is the daughter of Heather and Dan Coil. During her high school career, she participated in tennis, football, and Criminal Justice Skills USA competitions. Her future plans are to attend Purdue University for Hospitality & Tourism, with ambitions to partake in the Disney Summer College program. Before the ultimate goal of being in Notre Dame’s law program to later enlist as a United States Air Force JAG Officer. Catherine Deckana Catherine is the daughter of Amy and Jarrod Deckena. During her high school career, she participated in tennis, Peacekeepers, SADD, and Whitko Art Club. Her future plans are to enjoy her summer, then head into the workforce to pursue an occupation. Hannah Moore Hannah is the daughter of Christina and Charles Moore. During her high school career, she participated in golf, wrestling, volleyball, tennis, NHS, SADD, and Whitko Art Club. Her future plans are to attend Regent University for a major in Law and National Security while participating in their NROTC program. Viola Prigigallo Viola is visiting the United States from Italy this school year, and her host parents are Brian and Carissa Rose. During her exchange year, she participated in cheerleading, tennis, and managed girls’ basketball. Her future plans are to attend college, have a family, and have a beautiful career.
