The Wildcat Boys Swim & Dive team had a great day in the pool at Crawfordsville today, finishing second as a team, and sending multiple sectional champions to next weekend’s state finals at IUPUI. Brock Skinner kicked things off with a 1st place finish in the 50 freestyle, with a time of 22.76 seconds. Trevor Shannon followed that up with a 56.85 second 100 butterfly, good enough for 1st place! Brock Skinner earned his second sectional championship of the day, finishing with a time of 49.84 in the 100 freestyle! The 200 freestyle relay team of Brock Skinner (3rd sectional win), Trevor Shannon (2nd sectional win), Cael Buddle, and Blake Buckingham took first place in convincing style, beating their prelim time by 5 seconds, finishing with a sectional best 1:32.97! The boys will compete at the IUPUI Natatorium this Friday in the State Finals Prelims. The top 16 finishers on Friday will advance to the finals on Saturday.
