South Vermillion High School Athletics

CRAWFORDSVILLE, INDIANA - The South Vermillion Wrestling team traveled to North Montgomery High School to participate in the IHSAA Regional Wrestling Tournament. The Wildcas had two wrestlers advance with four wrestlers alternates. At the 165-weight class, South Vermillion’s Sophomore Christian Peace wrestled Sophomore Jacob Cole from Rossville High School. Christian fought a good match but he was pinned in the second period at 3:05. Peace finished his season will a record of 25-10. At the 175-weight class, South Vermillion’s Junior Alex Shryock faced Lebanon’s Sophomore Thomas Thomson. Alex came in strong and scored the first takedown. With just 13 seconds left in the third period, Thomson pinned Shryock The Wildcats wrapped up their season with a team record 16-5. Thank you, Ron Stateler Varsity Head Wrestling Coach
