South Bend Venues Parks & Arts is pleased to announce Lori Rush as the new Tennis Operations Coordinator at Leeper Park Tennis Center. In her new role, Lori will manage daily operations, including program coordination, event management, and player development. With extensive experience in tennis coaching, Lori has held positions as Head Coach and Tennis Instructor at local programs, including South Bend Parks & Arts and John Glenn High School. A graduate of Ferris State University with a degree in Professional Tennis Management, she is well-prepared to lead the center into its next chapter of growth and success. “I’m excited to join the SBVPA team,” said Rush. “This facility has been a key part of the South Bend community, and I look forward to enhancing our programs, supporting player development, and creating a welcoming space for players of all skill levels.” As Tennis Operations Coordinator, Lori will oversee the scheduling, coordination, and execution of tennis programs and events, while developing training sessions and drills to enhance player performance. She will also manage player records, tournament registrations, and logistics, and work closely with coaches, players, and local partners to foster a dynamic tennis community. Lori holds several certifications, including PTR and USTA certification, Interscholastic Officiating (NFHS Learning Center), Heat Illness Prevention & Collapsed Athlete certifications, and COVID-19 for Coaches & Administrators certification. Additionally, she has earned certifications in Sports Nutrition & Sportsmanship, USTA Coaching Tennis, and a Student Experience Certificate.
