Byers Softball Complex Coaches, players, and spectators are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful, responsible, honest, and considerate manner. Any instances of arguing, bickering, or disruptive behavior will result in the immediate termination of the game. Poor conduct will not be tolerated, and it is the responsibility of Umpires and/or Supervisors to enforce this policy, with their decision being final. Important Reminders: • Please check game times on the day of the games. The schedule on the website is the official one. 2025 Rules Continuation: 1. Game time limit is 60 minutes for both Men’s and Coed leagues. No inning may start after 60 minutes. 2. Teams may have no more than two C-level players. 3. Matching shirts are now optional. 4. Throwing bats from home plate to the fence results in an automatic out and ejection from the current game. No warnings. 5. Hats must be worn properly. 6. Profanity will result in an automatic out. 7. Game start times are 6:00 PM, 7:00 PM, 8:00 PM, and 9:00 PM, Monday through Thursday. 8. Shirts with profanity or vulgar language are not allowed for players or fans. Contact Information: The Softball Complex is open during league play, Sunday through Wednesday, from one hour before the first game until lights out. For inquiries, you can call or text John W. at 574-309-3067. Weather-Related Information: In the event of inclement weather, the League Director or a Complex Supervisor will determine if the fields (Blue, Green, Red, Yellow, and West) are playable. If a field is deemed unplayable, all games scheduled for that field will be postponed and rescheduled at the discretion of the League Director. At City Parks (Boehm, Boland, Potawatomi, Veteran’s Memorial, and Walker Field), the assigned umpire will make the decision on game playability between game time and 15 minutes prior. The umpire will notify the complex to update the status. Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to maintaining a positive environment at Byers Softball Complex.
