The Bears visited East Central on a chilly Tuesday night for a triangular meet including Columbus North. The girls were led by Chevelle Prather who took two 4th place finishes on the evening. Prather recorded a distance of 14' 0" in long jump and cleared 4' 4" in high jump. Other 4th place finishes included Aerin Garcia in the 3200m run (13:49) and Kinsley Kirschbaum in the 400m dash (1:11.44). Ethan Lambert was the lone event champion for the boys team, recording a massive personal best throw in the discus (154' 5"). Other top finishers included Christian Powell (19' 0" in long jump, 2nd place and 23.23 in the 200m dash, 3rd place), Elijah Von Werder (2:06.89 in the 800m run, 3rd place), Logan Page (5' 6" in high jump, 3rd place), Keagan Turner (18' 7.5" in long jump, 3rd place), Braeden Smith (20.92 in the 110m high hurdles, 4th), and Jose Mejia (59.76 in the 400m dash, 4th) Next up, the Bears will send a junior varsity squad to Greenfield-Central on May 1st for an HHC match up with New Palestine. The varsity squad will next take the track on May 5th for the Cougar Chase Invitational. Link to full results will be shared when available.
