The Bears traveled down to Columbus North for a three-way meet with East Central, the last full-team competition of the 2026 season. Sonora O’Connor, won the long jump with a leap of 16' 9" and took second in the 100-meter hurdles in 16.13, both of which were personal bests. She also placed third in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 47.97. Amara Lewis secured a victory in the 100-meter dash in a personal best time of 12.97. Amongst the runner-up finishers were Joaquin Delgado (110-meter hurdles, 15.99) and Eli Davis (high jump, 5' 6"). Both the girls (Jordyn Noe, Alyna Castanon, Macey Robbins, Sonora O'Connor) and boys (Eli Davis, Trell Garner, Shane Owens, Kamden Turner) 4x400m relay squads earned second-place honors, finishing in 4:12.30 and 3:39.28, respectively. Contributing across multiple events, Ethan Griffin took third in the discus with a throw of 143' 5" and fourth in the shot put at 45' 1", while Jordyn Noe placed third in the high jump at 5' 0" and fourth in the 100-meter hurdles in 17.70. Macey Robbins earned third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:26.98. Rounding out the top placers, Wura Ogunmoyela took fourth in the 100-meter dash (13.34), Anderson Mollenkopf finished fourth in the 3200-meter run (big PR of 11:01.02), Shane Owens placed fourth in the high jump (5' 4"), and Haylee Barnes cleared 8' 0" for fourth in the pole vault. Up next is the final home meet of the season, the Golden Bear Invitational on Thursday, April 30th.
