Richmond comes in riding high into homecoming week after their tremendous win over their rival Armada for the little brown jug. But the Blue Devils knew that they still need to take care of business if they want a shot at a league title, and potentially a District Championship in the coming month. Richmond started off not where they wanted to be in the first quarter not scoring a touchdown, but Kaden Christensen changed that with a 36-yard field goal to make it a 3-0 Blue Devil lead over the Broncos. But Richmond would not let that last long as the junior Dominic Bonnetti takes it into the end zone for a touchdown and a PAT to extend the Blue Devils lead 10-0 in the 2nd quarter. Richmond's defense is worth all the hype not just in the league but around the blue water area as they smothered North Branch's offense all night long. With about a little over two minutes left of the 1st half, Bonnetti would sling it to the senior JJ Hollister for another Blue Devil touchdown and an extra point send the boys in blue into halftime with Richmond up 17-0 over North Branch. The momentum continued to favor the Blue Devils with a little over four minutes of the 3rd quarter, Dominic Bonnetti would let it fly to Robbie Socia for another Blue Devil touchdown and another PAT to make it a 24-0 lead. Richmond's defense would continue to be as advertised forcing yet another three and out. Dominic Bonnetti and the Blue Devil offense said we're not done yet as Bonnetti would throw another dot to this time the sophomore sensation Trenton Kulman for a 52-yard pitch and catch to the end zone. That would be Bonnetti's fourth touchdown pass of the night to make it 30-0 with a missed PAT. The Blue Devils were feeling it clicking on all cylinders as the final touchdown would come from JJ Hollister to make it a 36-0 left before the Broncos would escape the shutout scoring on a kickoff return. That would eventually seal it for Richmond as your Blue Devils would take care of North Branch 36-7 beating them for the first time in six years as well as now sitting at 5-0 for the first time since 2019! #GoBlueDevils #SPOTTHEBALL
