Last night, the Blue Devils were looking to spoil the Tiger's Senior Night. As expected, this would be one for the ages the whole way through. Richmond would have the edge over Armada after the 1st quarter up 14-13. The Blue Devils would keep pace after both teams hitting shots and scoring inside as Armada would go up 22-21 at the half. But the 3rd quarter would be Richmond all the way going on a 26-11 run showing their dominance below the paint and scoring in transition. It would be 47-33 in Richmond's favor heading into the 4th quarter. But knowing Armada, they weren't going to quit as they climbed all the way back within single digits. The Tigers would cut it to just a 1 point game with less than 40 seconds left as they tried to halfcourt trap Trey as he would find Lindman down below just getting the pass off as he would use his strength to score to make it a three point lead for Richmond 61-58. The Tigers would try and respond with less than 20 seconds left and would draw a foul in the corner for three shots. The Blue Devil faithful going bananas as Armada sinks the first, misses the 2nd, and makes the 3rd making it a 61-60 ball game as Coach Presnell would call a timeout. Smalls would then inbound it to Lindman and hand it off back to Smalls sprinting down almost by half court we he would get fouled and go to the line. Smalls would build up his clutch gene going 2-2 at the line bringing it back to a 3 point game with less than 10 seconds to go! Armada would inbound trying to space out the floor trtying to get a shot off and they would miss it and the Blue Devils spoil the Tiger's senior night as well as getting payback from losing to them in a last second shot eralier this season! It's a great day to be a Blue Devil! Decided to only do 3 POTG's due to some of the players performances from last game and I wanted to shrink it down just a bit. Congrats to Trey Graham, Joseph Lindman, and Lavon Edwards! Trey Graham poured in 11 points in the third quarter as Blue Devils outscored Armada 26-11. Graham scored 22 points to lead Blue Devils. Blue Devils scored at will in the paint. They went 19-28 on twos. Blue Devils rebounded the ball well, collecting 29 rebounds. Joseph Lindman led the team with seven rebounds. Graham knocked down two shots from beyond the arc for Blue Devils. Blue Devils passed the ball well with 15 assists on 25 made baskets. Graham led the team with five assists. Additional scorers for Blue Devils included Lindman (12 points), Lavon Edwards (9 points), Gregory Haskins (7 points), Jaden Carroll (7 points), Collin Fenton (3 points), and Justin Smalls (2 points).
