🏀(Boys) 1-27-25 Justin Smalls leads Blue Devils Past Marine City A strong performance from Justin Smalls, helped Blue Devils defeat Marine City, 80-54, on Monday. Smalls scored 24 points to lead the way for Blue Devils. The game was tied at 13 when Blue Devils went on a 10-2 run to take the lead. Blue Devils had a strong first half, leading 43-30 at halftime and never looked back, securing the victory. Leading 64-49, Blue Devils went on a 9-point run to pull further away. Smalls poured in 10 points in the second quarter as Blue Devils outscored Marine City 30-17. Blue Devils scored at will in the paint. They went 28-47 on twos. Blue Devils played stifling defense, blocking three shots and grabbing 15 steals. Blue Devils controlled the paint, grabbing 30 rebounds. Lavon Edwards led the team with seven rebounds. Jaden Carroll hit two threes for Blue Devils. Blue Devils passed the ball well with 19 assists on 33 made baskets. Edwards led the team with five assists. Also contributing for Blue Devils were Carroll (16 points), Gregory Haskins (13 points), Edwards (13 points), Gaige Towner (7 points), Joseph Lindman (4 points), and Ryan Hessel (3 points)
