R J Baskett Middle School

Both our 6th Grade Boys Basketball team and combined 7th and 8th grade teams have been competing in a summer league in Kokomo at the Carver Community Center. 6th Grade competed against the Kokomo Cougars 6th/7th grade team and fell by 1 point at the end. Lorenzo Hernandez scored 10 points to lead the Indians in scoring. Despite the loss RJB 6th grader Jase Brooks was recognized by the Kokomo Post Newspaper as one of the Athletes of the week. 7th/8th grade competed against the Kokomo Stars team. The Indians won in thrilling fashion winning in Overtime after Indian 8th grader Trevor Whitt nailed two free throws late that sealed the victory for the Indians. Just as Jase Brooks, 8th grader Maddox Bell was also recognized by the Kokomo Post as an athlete of the week. Coach Rice, Coach Bishop, and Coach Williams are proud of the efforts of all players!
