Position Announcement Position: Head Varsity Football Coach School: North Vermillion Jr./Sr. High School Location: Cayuga, Indiana Application Period: December 22, 2025 – January 7, 2026 ⸻ Position Summary North Vermillion Jr./Sr. High School is seeking a qualified and dedicated individual to serve as Head Varsity Football Coach. The successful candidate will lead a competitive football program with high expectations, strong student participation, and consistent school and community engagement. ⸻ Program Background North Vermillion Football has a long-standing record of competitive achievement within conference and postseason play. • 2014 IHSAA Class A State Champion • 2018 IHSAA Class A State Runner-Up • 14 Wabash River Conference Championships • 7 IHSAA Sectional Championships • 3 IHSAA Regional Championships • 2 IHSAA Semi-State Championships The program has also supported high levels of individual player recognition, including: • 189 Wabash River Conference Selections • 32 IFCA All-State Players • 3 North-South All-Star Participants North Vermillion maintains a strong football foundation through a well-established K–6 youth tackle football program. ⸻ Athletic Support and Environment North Vermillion provides strong administrative and community support for its athletic programs, creating a positive and collaborative environment for coaches and student-athletes. ⸻ Facilities and Resources North Vermillion provides a highly supportive environment for football, including: • A 2,700-seat natural grass football stadium with additional portable seating • Dedicated football coaches office overlooking practice facilities • A new weight room designed to support comprehensive athletic development, equipped with: • 3 Pro-Power 2-Sided Squat/Bench Racks • Built-in Olympic lifting platforms • Rogue dumbbells • Space to support structured strength, speed, and conditioning programming • A new athletic fieldhouse with two indoor courts available for practice as needed North Vermillion returns seven starters and a committed group of student-athletes for the upcoming season. ⸻ Teaching Opportunity A full-day Strength and Conditioning teaching position, with one period of Physical Education, is currently available and open for immediate hire. North Vermillion is seeking to have the successful candidate in the building for the second semester to begin establishing relationships, developing the strength and conditioning program, and utilizing the IHSAA Limited Contact period to prepare student-athletes for the upcoming season. ⸻ Competition North Vermillion competes in the Wabash River Conference (Attica, Covington, Fountain Central, Riverton Parke, Parke Heritage, Seeger, and South Vermillion) and currently participates in IHSAA Sectional 45.
