North Vermillion Jr./Sr. High School is now accepting applications for the position of Head Softball Coach for the 2025–2026 school year. We are seeking a coach who will continue to build our program by teaching fundamentals, developing players, modeling professionalism, and creating a positive experience for our student-athletes. NV Softball competes in the Wabash River Conference (Attica, Covington, Fountain Central, Riverton Parke, Parke Heritage, Seeger, and South Vermillion) and is currently classified in IHSAA Class 1A, Sectional 53. The Falcons return a strong core of players, and we are looking for a leader who can guide the program forward. Position Details • Position: Head Softball Coach • Teaching Position(s) Available: A Special Education teaching position is immediately available • Stipend: Per the NVCSC Master Contract • Application Window: Position open until filled Required Qualifications • High school coaching experience preferred • Strong knowledge of softball fundamentals and game strategy • Ability to teach, communicate, and motivate student-athletes • Must complete all required IHSAA trainings and certifications • Must pass a criminal background check Responsibilities • Oversee all aspects of the high school softball program • Teach the game and develop players both fundamentally and situationally • Communicate effectively with players, parents, and the athletic department • Maintain program expectations, culture, and sportsmanship standards • Follow all IHSAA rules, including Limited Contact Period regulations • Schedule and run practices through EventLink • Manage uniforms, equipment, and field preparation • Organize and supervise assistant coaches • A complete list of expectations will be provided to the selected candidate.
