Marion High School

Nate Larson began as Marion High School AD in 2026. He was on the coaching staff for MHS track and field from 2014 to 2026, and in the role of head coach starting in 2016. He has also coached football, golf, and cross country at the middle school level. He has been teaching at MHS since 2013. Larson earned his bachelor’s degree in art education from Indiana Wesleyan University, and has also completed his principal’s leadership certification.

Johnnie Williams is an MHS graduate, Class of 1990, and he has 15 years of coaching experience, including nearly a dozen years at the collegiate level. He was assistant coach for the Prairie View A&M University men’s basketball team, defensive coordinator and assistant coach for Alabama A&M University, director of operations and assistant coach for Texas Southern University, and served as an assistant coach for Illinois Central College, Grambling State University, and Benedictine-Springfield University. He has also served as a high school basketball head coach and assistant coach, as well as a club coach on the Under Armour Association Circuit. After graduating from MHS, he played basketball at Creighton University in Nebraska, and then at Morehead State University in Kentucky, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in communications. In addition to basketball coach, he also serves as a dean at MHS.

Ronikka Drake is an MHS graduate, Class of 2008, who was a standout on the team and in the state during her time at the high school, and who went on to success on the national stage, playing guard for the D1 program at Northwestern University in Louisiana. Drake previously served as coach for the MHS freshman boys basketball team and is a student support specialist at the school. She earned an Associate’s Degree from Lincoln Trail College, and a Bachelor’s Degree from Northwestern University.

Craig Chambers led the Giants from 2015-2020 and since 2023. During that time, MHS has returned to state-level competition, and he has been named NCC Football Coach of the year and NCC Boys Coach of the Year. He played football at Kentucky State University, and several of his players have continued on to compete at the collegiate level. At MHS he also serves as a Dean.

Alex Allison is an MHS graduate. He took the lead for MHS boys soccer in 2026, bringing with him several years of coaching high school athletes, as well as BSW and MSW degrees in social work from IWU.

Blake Hancock is an MHS graduate. He took the lead for MHS boys soccer in 2026, bringing with him more than a decade of coaching youth and high school athletes, both at the club and school levels.
