The Ligonier Valley Mountain Biking team had a great showing at the Johnstown Showdown, finishing fifth overall in Division 1 with 3,185 points. The Rams defeated Plum and finished just behind Franklin Regional in a competitive field. Several Ligonier Valley riders turned in outstanding individual performances, led by Luke Sylvester, who finished fourth in JV1 Boys. Henry Fisher also had a strong race, placing sixth in JV1 Boys. In JV3 Boys, Evan Anderson finished sixth, followed closely by Nolan Kenna, who earned eighth place. Madeleine Cooper rounded out the top performances for the Rams with an impressive third-place finish in 6th Grade Girls. The Rams will return to action this Saturday, October 3, for the third and final Western Conference race of the season at Boyce Park. Following the conference race, the team will travel to Fair Hill, Maryland, on October 10-11 to compete in the State Championships.
