The Ligonier Valley football team opened the 2026 season in impressive fashion on Friday, August 28, earning a shutout victory over Frazier at Commodore Stadium. The Rams’ offense was led by quarterback Levi Foust, who recorded 113 rushing yards on 13 carries and scored on a 1-yard touchdown run. Foust also connected with Gregory Sleasman on a 66-yard touchdown pass. Patrick Latin opened the scoring with a 35-yard touchdown run, while Blake Hitt added a 1-yard touchdown run after rushing for 62 yards on six carries. Isaiah Fogel and Connor Riddell each added 20-yard touchdown runs to complete the Rams’ scoring. Defensively, Wyatt Queer led the Rams with three sacks, while Karson White and Blake Penrose each recorded one sack. Latin and Foust led the team with eight tackles apiece, while Ryan Mohney added seven tackles. Latin also recorded a forced fumble in the defensive effort.
