Thursday was a cool night for golf and the Lady Arabians traveled to Yorktown to the Players Club to take on the Tigers and Delta Eagles. Players club is a long tough course for the girls with fast greens. We played a modified course similar to what they will use during sectional. We played 6 varsity tonight and counted 4. did our best, but it just wasn't enough. Yorktown had the win with a 178, Delta 201 and PH 202. Medalist for the Arabians was Junior, Kiersten Dujmovich with a 48. Some highlights were; Junior, Ava Reed and Senior, Morgan Bricker had par on hole #3 a long par 5, Junior,Kiersten Dujmovich also had par on #2 another long par 5, Senior, Claire Bowman had the lone birdie for the Arabians on #2 the long par 5. Senior, Olivia Haugh played and found the course to be rather tough. Sophomore, Ava Stafford played in her first varsity match and found it to be a little harder than playing with fellow teammates. We didn't come away with the win, but the girls seemed in good spirits. Golf is a fickle sport, some days you're on and some you aren't. We did travel to the wonderful BerryWinkle for our post match ice cream and it did not disappoint. Senior, Claire Bowman truly enjoyed her very extra large serving and finished every last bite. Great Job tonight ladies and Well done Claire on finishing all that ice cream. Our next match is Tuesday at Edgewood against Lapel and Heritage Christian. Hope to see you there!
