At the 8th Annual The Herald Bulletin Sports Awards, Pendleton Heights earned Program of the Year for the third consecutive year and for the 4th time in the eight-year awards show history, which started in 2018. "All the credit goes to our student-athletes and the coaches. They work relentlessly to achieve success. Winning this award is difficult to win each year so to have won this three straight times and four times total, is a real testament to the culture we have established," Chad Smith, Pendleton Heights Athletic Director said. During the school year, programs earn points based on Madison County and post season tournament success. The Arabians were led by Maddie Marsh who was a wrestling state champion and the overall Girls Athlete of the Year winner. Ava Jarrell, Anya Zoeller, Benson Davis, and Addy Stanley were all competitors in state finals meets. Kaycie Warfel also earned points for being named an Indiana All-Star in girls basketball. Other winners of awards were Warfel (Johnny Wilson), Zoeller (Breakout Athlete), Zach Zoeller (Breakout Athlete), Kade Brown (Comeback Player), and Stanley (Comeback Player). To go along with the IHSAA tournament success, the Arabians claimed Madison County championships in boys golf, volleyball, boys and girls cross country, wrestling, and girls track. Smith continued, "I'm proud of everyone. We have such a supportive school board, superintendent, and principal. That makes such a huge difference when you are trying to get things accomplished. Again, this belongs to all Arabians, but our young women and men that put in the work along with the coaches make this possible."
